ABOUT
Cooranbong Community Services Centre
614 Freemans Drive, Cooranbong
Monthly Meetings / Demonstrations / Workshops are held on the first Thursday of the month from February to November, from 9.30 am for a 10.00 am start.
Art Lovers Movement was formed in 1997 by Daisy Sharp (an art teacher) and Harry Goyens for like-minded people who love to share their passion for art.
ALM membership has grown to 100+ after starting in a garage and now hires the excellent spacious hall from the Cooranbong Community Centre for our monthly meetings held the first Thursday of the month from February to November.
We are a friendly group of people who simply love our artistic pursuits, whatever the medium and whether it's large or small. Our members are diverse in their interests from watercolour to collage .
All are welcome from professional artists to novices.. Visitors are invited to attend our meetings followed by a demonstration and an afternoon workshop conducted by a artist/demonstrator for which a small fee applies.
We also have a comprehensive library where members can borrow, for a small fee, either a book, magazine; CD or USD drive of an ALM demonstration .
Every year we hold an exhibition, the ALM Art Show & Sale, where members are encouraged to show their works. We also participate in many other exhibitions in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie area.
